What is ICM's general lead-time of the products?If the raw material ICM needs to produce the crystals is in stock, the lead-time may be sooner than expected. If the needed parts, or raw materials, are not available and need to be made from scratch, the lead-times may be longer. ICM's average lead-times are shown in the table below:
ICM can provide custom crystals in as little as three days through expedited production if required.
Is ICM ISO 9000 Certified?Yes, ICM is certified to ISO 9001:2000 and our certification number is FM 60038.
Does ICM manufacture its own crystals, precision crystals, oscillators, filters and TCXOs?Yes. ICM manufactures crystals, precision crystals, some oscillators, and some filters in our plant in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. TCXOs, oscillators and some filters are manufactured to ICM specifications by our affiliates.
What percentage of product does ICM manufacture in the U.S.?ICM manufactures about 90% of the crystals, precision crystals, oscillators, filters, TCXOs, and Quartz Microbalance Crystals in our plant in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
How long does it take to get sample crystals from ICM?Most ICM samples take two to three weeks to produce. Even a relatively simple crystal unit requires ten to fifteen separate and distinct manufacturing stages. If you specified the full range of your unique requirements, chances are that your samples had to be manufactured from scratch. In many cases, a 'standard' stock crystal could be used for prototyping. Then, if required, a full custom crystal could be manufactured. ICM wants our samples to be representative of our standard manufacturing process.
Do you provide prototypes for crystals, oscillators, and TCXOs?Yes, ICM provides prototyping services as required for crystals, oscillators and TCXOs, but we typically charge a fee dependent on the engineering required and quantity needed.
Does ICM manufacture custom frequency control devices?ICM has been making custom frequency control devices to meet the unique needs of our customers for over fifty years. ICM can provide your custom frequency control devices whether just a few or tens of thousands.
Does ICM offer technical assistance to help end users with problems?We certainly do. ICM is staffed with both engineering personnel and individuals with decades of frequency control experience. ICM engineers and design staff will gladly assist you to solve your unique frequency control applications and then make the crystal, oscillator or other frequency control products you require.
Will a series crystal work in a parallel circuit and vice versa?Yes to both, but a crystal unit manufactured as a series resonant crystal will operate at a frequency higher than expected if used in a parallel resonant circuit. A crystal unit manufactured as a parallel resonant crystal will operate at a frequency lower than expected if used in a series resonant circuit.
Does ICM offer product testing services?Yes, ICM provides environmental and electrical testing for both our production products as well as customer-owned product that they would like to test to see if it meets specifications.
