Quartz microbalance crystals

International Crystal Manufacturing's (ICM) Quartz Microbalance Crystals are also referred to as QCM crystals. These are piezoelectric quartz crystals that utilize the Converse Piezoelectric Effect to determine mass changes as a result of the frequency change of the crystal.

QCM crystals are used as sensors to determine mass changes as a result of frequency changes. The most common QCM crystal applications include chemical reaction monitors, biomedical sensors, metal deposition monitors, and environmental monitoring applications.

Ordering Considerations

1. Frequency – 5 MHz to 20 MHz
2. Blank diameters
3. Surface finish – polished or etched
4. Types of metal(s) required – gold, chrome gold, titanium, platinum, copper, silver, and most other metals.
